Google’s search index has just received a big boost of energy – literally. This week, Google launched its newest solution to improve search, a system called Caffeine. Caffeine has overhauled Google’s search algorithm and indexing process, giving users the freshest and most up-to-date search results possible. It’s a breakthrough for Google, setting it well ahead of the curve and far in the lead of competitors like Bing and Yahoo.
Prior to Caffeine, Google’s search index was only updated every 30 days, with newer results stored in a cache for later use, instead of being fully indexed. News stories and blog updates, although updated and indexed much faster than normal searches, were still a bit delayed. For regular users relying on Google for the occasional personal search, this process didn’t have much of an impact on their results. But for heavy users demanding up-to-date results, the delay could be frustrating. Caffeine is bringing Google as close to real-time search as it can, with indexing done in seconds, rather than days or months. Users will literally see results that say “Updated seconds ago,” rather than hours ago. Because of this, results will not only be as recent as possible, but more relevant to the initial search as well.
Google has taken into account the rate at which Web content is produced, and responded efficiently with Caffeine. In a post announcing the new system on the Official Google Blog, Software Engineer Carrie Grimes wrote,
“Content on the web is blossoming. It’s growing not just in size and numbers but with the advent of video, images, news and real-time updates, the average webpage is richer and more complex. In addition, people’s expectations for search are higher than they used to be. Searchers want to find the latest relevant content and publishers expect to be found the instant they publish.”
What does this mean for Google users? Overall, content won’t get buried. Because Caffeine extends to every kind of Google search, breaking news stories, new blog posts, videos, and photos will stand an equal chance of being found by users, and Caffeine will make it easier for Google to find the content. Even better, users may have entirely new results with each search – a big plus if you’re following a hot news story, or an event happening across the country.

It is imperative for any business with an internet presence, which wishes to compete with other businesses that sell similar products, to have their business website optimised for search engines. SEO allows search engines to inform, potential, new customers know that you are out there and ready to do business. This can increase visitors to your website by tens, hundreds and, maybe, thousands and if you are a global company or your customers are entirely internet based that is great news, but, if on the other hand, your business has physical premises and are lead-based, then Search engine optimisation may be the answer to your company’s prayers. Ideally your business wants and needs to advertise locally, within your targeted area, and wishes only to attract visitors that will, potentially, become new clients. By engineering your business website to be search engine optimised to reach only local internet users, your business stands a much greater chance of increasing your customer base. With a Google local search engine optimisation strategy incorporated into your business website, your company can reach a market that is currently looking for what your business is selling. This approach to marketing your business, online, involves utilising keywords that point to a specific place, county or region, as well as, keywords or phrases relevant to your products or services:
By using location keywords, in addition, to your business keywords, when an internet user enters a phrase, including locality and keywords, Google will present these results higher on a page than websites with a more generic description. So, Cathy’s toyshop in Lancashire will be placed higher on Google’s result page than toyshop would because your website is considered, by Google, to have more relevance to the searcher.Google local search engine optimisation may not offer a business thousands of visitors, but, what it does offer is people ready to provide their custom, who are looking for the right company… Your company. UKIM are experts in online marketing strategies for businesses wishing to get ahead in internet advertising. Their Google local search engine optimisation approach to your business will ensure that, not only, will you benefit from Google map inclusion, but, will gain valuable, new, locally based customers, too.
There are a lot of reviews of 2008 and predictions for 2009 when we step in the New Year. That Google released its own browser Google Chrome ranks in the top 10 software news in 2008, and some experts predicts that Google Chrome will take up a market share of 10%~15% in 2009. Google Chrome is great, but it is not easy to change old routines and make users switch from their current browsers. This prediction will come true or not? We will keep an eye on it.
Google Chrome is a wonderful browser with a simple and clean user interface. It is quite different form IE 7 and FireFox 3. Based on the features of Google Chrome, can it win the browser war in 2009? We will review the special features of Google Chrome. And I have made a demo with DemoCreator to show these features.
One box for everything: The address bar is also the search box. And it automatically suggests related queries and popular websites based on your input. It is a multifunctional box. New tab page: This is not a blank page. It shows us the Links to websites you visit the most, recently closed tabs, and recent bookmarks. It is quite useful for me to find the most visited websites. Application shortcuts: This feature enables users to create an easy entry for the special website service. Dynamic tabs: For better experience, you can change the tabs position as you want them to be. And Chrome also allows dragging tabs apart, to create separate windows. Crash control: If a page breaks in Chrome, it won’t take the browser with it, so although you will have to reopen that crashed tab or window, you won’t have lost anything else you are doing in other tabs or windows. Incognito mode: If you don’t want pages you visit to show up in your web history, just choose incognito mode for private browsing. It can protect your privacy. Safe browsing: Google Chrome warns you if you’re about to visit a suspected phishing, malware or otherwise unsafe website. I was supposed to show you this feature in the demo, but I could not find a sample website like this for a test. Instant bookmarks: Chrome simplifies the process of bookmark adding. Just click the star icon at the left edge of the address bar and you have got it done. Importing settings: It is easy for you to import your browsing history, saved websites, and passwords from your default browser to Chrome. It reduces the troubles if you switch to Chrome from Firefox or Internet Explorer.Simpler downloads: When you download a file from a website, you can your download’s status at the bottom of your current window where you can monitor the progress of your downloading file.
There is a new and innovative browser choice for users. Google Chrome does deserve a try. To make some software guide video or website demo, DemoCreator is available.
Search engine optimization is a must nowadays. A website to remain living and standing in the search engine game needs to get professional attention and expert strategies that are geared towards keeping it afloat and ahead in the competition.
With this, businesses with websites find it a necessity to optimize their website and make it a portal for searchers to get a chance to see what they have to offer. In the end, these same searchers, hopefully, can be converted into becoming of the consumers who will patronize the products and services.
A professional SEO these days is as important as keeping a team of advertising experts. If a team of qualified advertising geniuses is in charge of developing the advertising arm in print and media, to which only a small number of the populace is exposed, a professional SEO team, on the other hand, is a necessity to develop the business’ products and services online, which hosts billions of searchers a day.
A professional SEO company, thus, should always be tapped for an SEO campaign to become successful. It is for this reason, therefore, that more and more companies are spending money in an upward mode to make sure that their website does not lag behind the tough SEO competition.
However, there are some SEO companies that opt for the black hat style of SEO. This, however, is not suggested as it can pose hazard to the website. Look for a legitimate SEO team that will make sure that your website gets fair strategies that will improve your website’s standing and make it a truly competitive and effective website that will attract more clients and make your website truly a window for your company’s growth.
AdSense and AdWords its the best and the hottest tools on the Internet today.
Google AdSense is the syndication of Google Adwords and constitutes additional source of income for everyone…
Before you begin to develop your own strategy and implementation plan you have to reflect on what is the major objective of this initiative.
If you don’t have accurate details regarding AdSense, then you might make a bad choice on the subject. Don’t let that happen: keep reading.
The following points are basic to your Google AdSense strategy:
· Make sure your site is fully operational before you join the AdSense program. There is no charge for the webmaster to participate in AdSense. All costs are covered by the advertiser (who participates in the AdWords program).
· You have to be approved by Google in order to create your AdSense account and start earning money from it. The AdSense program is free to apply but your site must to meets Google’s criteria prior to applying. You can find the guidelines at the following web address: https://www.google.com/adsense/policies
· Once your application is approved, just log into your account, customize your ad unit, and copy and paste a block of HTML code into your website. You are provided with a small HTML script, which you can paste anywhere on your webpage. You may paste this code any number of times and on multiple pages… The ads are generated based on the contents of your site automatically. Google technology has ads for just about all categories of businesses and for practically all types of content, no matter how specialized.
· Choose the right keywords for your web pages. Your main reason have to be clicks, not SEO rankings. You can have an idea of high-paying keywords is by using Keywords Analyzer tool or AdWords Keywords Tool These tools can also help you create a list of relevant keywords for your webpages.
· Start writing original content with keywords from the topics that you have achieved in your search.
· Use relevant keywords in your title text and anchor text can improve your AdSense Strategy.
· Do not modify Google AdSense code. Google will cut your account off and keep all the money you may have earned and will drag you to Court
· Use different page titles for different pages. Avoid using long phrases and difficult words in the page titles.
· Focus on providing good quality information! Provide unique, relevant and fresh content to your users with a good grammar, correct spelling, and sentence structure.
· Place your ad in the top section of your webpage – Make sure these ads are positioned where they’ll generate the highest amount of profit.
· Evaluate how the ads will appear on your website and use Google channels or Google AdSense preview toolbar to your advantage. The better the ads are targeted, the more clicks you get, the more money you make.
· Keep AdSense ads off of your confirmation, registration, “download” and all “thank you” pages.
· Avoid using Automated clicking programs or Clicking your own ads. (You are forbidden to click on your own ads. If you do, your Adsense account will be terminated and you might never get it back.)
· Check for broken links and correct HTML and avoid hidden text or hidden links.
· Use AdSense ads on your Blogs – There are some things you can do though to maximize your Google Adsense profits. If you develop a readership, you’re more likely to increase your profits.
· Avoid links to web spammers or “bad neighborhoods” on the web and avoid “doorway” or other “cookie cutter” approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no clearly and accurately content.
· Add new pages to your site with quality and good content. This is very important, as the more pages you have, the higher the chance is that you’ll get more hits on your ads. Quality and interesting content makes your site better, more likely to win with AdSense, and therefore more profitable for you!
Placing quality content on your web site will not only keep your visitors coming back, but it will also increase your web site traffic by providing additional entry pages to your site.
Looking from this angle, AdSense is a very tough industry but if done right, is VERY profitable!
I hope that reading the above information was both enjoyable and educational for you. Stay up-to-date on Google AdSense methods, techniques, skills, news – And Think Like a Winner!

Google worries about the Merging of Microsoft and Yahoo (MicroHoo) but quite upset about this new little website…
First, it is not surprising why Google will worry about this MicroHoo deal thing…
Yahoo is the number one most trafficked site on the Internet, Windows Live is in third place and Google is only in fourth place according to Alexa Traffic Rank.
MicroHoo can easily monetize their combine traffic and offer search to their users… this could lead to significant decline in Google user search traffic.
Plus, Microsoft can also easily monetize their desktop applications and put search box in each one of them. That could lead to further decline in Google user search traffic.
Is it the end of Google dominance in search engine world or is it the beginning of its extinction?
Maybe not.
According to comScore June 2007 Search Engine Ratings in the United States for June 2007… Google still got the share of the big pie:
Google Network: 49.5%, down from 50.7% in May 2007Yahoo Network: 25.1%, down from 26.4%Microsoft Network: 13.2%, up from 10.3%MicroHoo Network: 38.30%
But take note that Microsoft Network share is rising and if that trend will continue, soon MicroHoo will steal much of Google Network’s share of the big pie.
Still, that would take years of battle before Google lose its dominance in search engine world…
But why is Google upset about HopHunt?
Well, we don’t exactly know where this news lose break on the first place.
We don’t really care if Google really upset about HopHunt but still we would like to know the real score…
Maybe, it’s because HopHunt offers $100,000 free ppc ads and that would mean or lead to significant decline in Google Adwords advertisers.
Let’s say, 1000 advertisers will grab the $100,000 free ppc offer, that would mean a potential lose of $100 Million income by Google.
What if 10000, 20000, 50000, 100000 and more advertisers will grab the $100,000 free ppc offer? Just do the math.
Now, is it the beginning of Google extinction?
Not really.
Well, HopHunt doesn’t ring a bell and it doesn’t have much traffic.
Who cares?
But with the rising cost of pay-per-click (ppc) ads and of paid traffic, HopHunt free ppc offer is very hard to resist, indeed.
When Google started on the Internet it didn’t have much traffic also but now is in fourth most trafficked site on the entire Internet.
Think about HopHunt… one, two, or three years from now, it is no doubt it will also get more traffic and steal some of the share of the big pie.
But still, that would take years to prove and Google won’t bother anyway about HopHunt.
The only thing that bothers Google right now is MicroHoo, the merging of two Online Behemoth Microsoft and Yahoo.
